Too many bright kids slip through the cracks.
At Sophos, our comprehensive academic and therapeutic approach lets parents see real progress, and kids regain their confidence.
MEET THE OWNER
Jessi Dall founded Sophos Speech and Academics with a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves the chance to learn in a way that makes sense to them. As both an educator and a mom to three, Jessi understands how deeply families want to see their children succeed. Navigating her own children’s neurodivergences has also shown her how frustrating it can be when traditional learning environments don’t meet a child’s needs.
With more than 20 years of experience in education and child development, Jessi built Sophos as a place where evidence-based practice meets empathy. Her approach is warm, personal, and grounded in the belief that people are more important than programs. Families describe her as someone who listens deeply, sees the whole child, and designs individualized plans that build both skill and confidence.
What drives Jessi most is witnessing the moment a student realizes, “I can do this.” Whether it’s a first grader mastering reading or a high schooler rediscovering their love of learning, she finds purpose in every success story. Through Sophos, Jessi continues to create a community where children, families, and educators work together to help every learner thrive!

I had a great experience being on the panel of judges for the Sophos “Shark Tank” summer camp. The teacher/tutor, Caitlin Collins, was incredibly organized and showed a high level of rapport with the students. She guided them with patience and encouragement. I was impressed by her, as well as the students’ work. Not only were their business proposals creative and thorough, they showed real technical skill with their chosen presentation mediums. I couldn’t believe they were only in 4th grade! The whole project seemed meaningful, like the kids were learning so much without realizing it because they were having fun!
She has a way of connecting with my son so he wants to do his best with her, but is comfortable just being himself.
They are more than just tutors. They are friends, advocates, and teachers.
We have had a great experience with Caitlin! First, this summer for online camps with my daughter and friends… she managed to engage them over their Zoom meetings and keep them wanting to return for fun CSI-style investigations and mystery writing. My son jumped on the camp meetings as well and loved it… so much that when I scheduled them for weekly tutoring with Caitlin they put up no resistance and are always excited to go to their sessions!
